Shock and Awe — China, Trade, Christianity the Fed and Russia

Excerpts from my longer article:

  • China: As promised, Trump will name China a currency manipulator. This will spark much consternation in the financial markets. Additionally, Trump will institute policies, including tariffs, which will protect our steel and manufacturing sectors. This could easily force China into a deep recession since their economy is even more a house of cards than ours. If this happens, it is a good thing. The Chinese are communists and our enemy. This will be the fastest way to end their reign. For those who think this will sink our own financial ship as well since the Chinese own so much of our debt, remember that Trump and his team are optimists when it comes to America’s ability to do just about anything. I believe that they believe America can grow fast enough to deal with any issues if the Chinese economy takes a dive.
  • The Federal Reserve: If Trump gets too much pushback from the Global money elites and especially from Janet Yellen, do not be surprised for him to call for an audit of the Federal Reserve Bank system. I expect that the need for this action will come soon after Trump sticks to his guns regarding the Chinese issues noted above.
  • Trade: No discussion of China or the Fed is complete without discussing trade. Trump made this one of his big issues during the campaign. The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) is dead. NAFTA will be renegotiated with a much different emphasis in favor of the US. We will also see a number of other trade deals renegotiated or canned utilizing the escape clauses that are always written into these treaties but seldom used. Starting in 2018, our balance of trade will improve dramatically since it takes some time for the effects of the changed trade deals to take effect.
  • Christianity: Trump boasted that he will be the best president for Christians and we should not doubt his desire to accomplish this. That means Christian refugees from Muslim countries will be given preference. It means that Supreme Court justices will be pro-life. It means that the government will push back on militant homosexual groups trying to force Christian businesses to provide services against their conscience. This last one will be fairly easy given how many liberals are refusing to have anything to do with Trump because it goes against their conscience. This re-embracement of Christianity will also help with Russia.
  • Russia: Russia is not our friend, but they are not our enemy. Indeed, since they have re-embraced Christianity, we have far more in common with them than we do with the Chinese. Over the course of 2016 our countries will develop an informal alliance to fight radical Islamic terrorism, counter OPEC and reign in China. The alleged election hacking will quickly fade from view once Shock and Awe on the bureaucracy hits.
